Paul Garner's visit to Northern Ireland: 23-30 November 2005

Here are the updated details of Paul Garner's forthcoming visit to Northern Ireland in the week of 23-30 November 2005.

We hope very much that those living in the province will be able to support the visit and that you will want to pray for God's blessing on all aspects of the visit.

Programme

Together with various friends in Northern Ireland Paul has arranged the following itinerary for the visit. Paul will start the visit with meetings in Tyrone and Fermanagh, 23-26 November. He will then move on to Belfast for meetings on 28 and 29 November. Exact details of the meetings are still being worked out. More meetings may be added to this provisional schedule.

Full details of all the meetings arranged to date can be found below. Please ring the local co-ordinators if you want more information nearer the time.

The Speaker

Many of you will already know Paul, both as a frequent speaker on creationist issues and as the editor of the BCS journal Origins . Paul has been travelling and working full-time with Biblical Creation Ministries (BCM) since October 2002. His ministry has already been widely appreciated. Paul and his wife Debbie live in Soham, Cambridgeshire. They have two children.

Support for the Visit

Here are some of the ways you can support Paul's visit next month:

  1. Attending the meetings: come along yourself and encourage others to come too. Publicise them among your church congregations, in your school or college, etc.
  2. Prayer: pray for all aspects of Paul's visit: safety in travel, good health and physical strength, appropriate choice of material, good opportunities with young people, conversations with church leaders, etc.
  3. Practical support: there may be a need for practical support at the public meetings in particular. Ring the local co-ordinators to see what you can offer.

2006 and beyond

Paul and the BCS Committee hope that this will be the first of many speaking visits by Paul to Northern Ireland. You can be thinking and praying now as to how you could use Paul in further visits in 2006 and beyond.
